Privacy & Cookies

We use Clerk for sign-in, sessions and account security; Stripe for checkout and payments; Vercel for hosting and operational diagnostics; and Mux for video delivery. Account, transaction, entitlement and security records support these functions independently of your optional choices. Rejecting optional choices does not prevent you from signing in, renting or watching an authorised film.

Mux Data records viewing sessions, time spent viewing and playback performance, including buffering, quality and errors. We use this information to operate Watch, understand viewing and investigate playback problems. Paid playback includes the existing Fountain 0 viewer ID and video title; Mux also uses its existing cookies and identifiers. This collection remains active before a choice and after optional choices are rejected or withdrawn.

This is separate from Optional site analytics. Its continued operation is a platform policy, not a claim that every analytics purpose is legally exempt from consent requirements. Read Mux’s data privacy information.

This setting controls Vercel Web Analytics, which measures site visits using cookie-free analytics. It is off until you explicitly enable it. Rejecting or withdrawing stops this optional collection; it does not disable Vercel hosting, Mux Data or YouTube’s processing after you separately choose to load a video. External video is off by default. Enabling it allows YouTube trailers and hero videos to load automatically. We use privacy-enhanced embeds at youtube-nocookie.com. This does not eliminate YouTube’s requests, cookies or processing of viewing information.

When this setting is off, you can still choose “Play trailer with YouTube” after reading the explanation beside that video, or follow “Watch on YouTube”. The Play choice applies only to that video while its component remains open; it does not change either global optional setting. Rejecting optional choices or saving External video as off removes loaded YouTube embeds and their temporary permission. You can request a trailer again afterward.

The separate YouTube site follows YouTube’s own privacy choices. Watch cannot control that site or erase cookies stored on third-party domains. Read YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embedding information.

We store your two optional choices, consent version, decision time and expiry in first-party local storage named f0_watch_consent on the Watch origin. This preference contains no account, purchase, email, advertising or device identifier. Acceptance and rejection last 180 days from your explicit decision; visiting again does not extend that period. Expired or unreadable preferences return to optional off.

If storage is unavailable, your choice is kept in memory for the current page session. Use Privacy & Cookies in the footer to reopen settings without leaving your page. Save preferences, Accept optional or Reject optional applies immediately. Closing settings discards unsaved changes. Withdrawing does not erase necessary account or checkout information, Mux identifiers, or data already received by a provider.
